I am le'whiny because I don't want to do my le'work. Boooo. I feel very lazy. The magnolia blossoms on the trees outside felt similarly -- they were all like "What are we doing on this tree? We don't have to be here! We don't even photosynthesize! Let us take a le'trip!" So they jumped on the ground...and are now brown sludge. There is a lesson here, but for the life of me I can't see it.

Oy, those midterms could have gone better. On a scale from one to ten, how badly do I need a shower?

If you answered 8.4, you were correct.

So Colin decided to go to Stanford. He just got back from Rockefeller this afternoon and had already decided not to even bother going to the Harvard weekend next week. So...that's 3000 miles away.

But, I'm fine, I'm fine.

Actually, by the time he told me I'd been so apprehensive for so long that I was relieved. Where to go from here?

Fidel in Ohio - Martin Espada
:

The bus driver tore my ticket
and gestured at the tabloid
spread across the steering wheel.
The headline:
FIDEL CASTRO IS DEAD
REPLACED BY IDENTICAL DOUBLE
Below, two photographs of Fidel,
one with cigar, one without.

"The resemblance is amazing,"
the driver said,
and I agreed.

So yeah - that's kind of how I feel right now.

This week is midterms and I am surprisingly unprepared. I just haven't been that into school lately. The week after that is Spring Break, though, and although I have to be here for most of it because of le'JP, I'll be able to go home for the weekends.

You know, my life is messy, but I love it. I love my friends, and I have the greatest boyfriend in the world.

So, thanks, even if I seem ungrateful sometimes, I appreciate all of you tremendously.
